Down to the Final Two

After the Final Four games, clearly these are the two teams that deserve to be in the championship game.

Never would have I thought both games would have been a blowout. This was suppose to be the best four teams in the tournament. Before today, no one would argue other teams should have been here. After today, I still think these were the best four teams. Unfortunately for two teams, they had their worst game of the season when it mattered the most.

LSU just looked terrible. I guess that's what a UCLA defense will do to your offense. Ask Memphis and Gonzaga the last few mintues. George Mason said they were emotionally drained after the tournament run of a lifetime. Both teams had their largest deficit of the season in tonight's game. So as dominant as Florida and UCLA were LSU and George Mason were equally as terrible. I think if George Mason and LSU played in a third place game, I'd have to take GM just by the overall game play tonight.

I think we'll get a memorable championship game. It's old school tradition of UCLA vs the new school of UF. UCLA is 11-1 in championship games but that was the days of Walton, Jabbar, and a coach name Wooden. UF is 0-1 in championship games losing in 2000.

Even if this was a football game it would be a great match up. It would be an offensive shootout. Don't think we'll get to see that on Monday night. It'll be a controlled game with great defensive plays on both side.

As a University of Florida alumni, my rooting interest in clear. In saying that, I think UCLA will give UF all they can handle on Monday night. The Vegas line slightly favors UF (-1.5 pts) but I hear many people all over UCLA already saying the wrong team is favored.
