Tonya Harding was the better technical skater

No one can take away that Tonya Harding was the better technical skater than that whining, horse-faced, unpersonable Nancy Kerrigan. The oustanding triple axel that Tonya Harding successfully jumped in 1991 was only repeated by one other American skater successfully, 14 years later- Kimmie Messner.

Being banned from U.S. figure skating by the U.S. figure skating association has meant that the livelihood that Harding trained for since the age of 3, was taken away from her.

She’s never given up on life though and is doing well in boxing now, living dept-free and despite the huge doses of prednisone for her severe asthma (side effect – major weight gain) still has atheletic ability. Most of us wouldn’t be able to survive in the public eye, much less play the ‘heel’, as she has. I admire her, when she was allowed to be a figure skater and since then, as a boxer.

Yeah GreenEyes, too bad she decided to throw that all away by having someone whack her opponent in the legs with a steel bar.
