Oh Kyle Boller. You're not going to win this battle just as much as you're not going to win too many football games. These days Kyle Boller and Shannon Sharpe, a former Raven, have been sparring with each other in the media. Just a recap of what Shannon had to say about Kyle.
"I'm convinced that Kyle Boller can't play. I have seen nothing in his mechanics. I've seen nothing in his ability. I've seen nothing that would indicate to me that you can build a franchise around this guy," he said."Here's the thing: Kyle Boller plays just good enough to get him cut and you fired, which is a lose-lose situation."
Thank you Shannon!! Sharpe is just speaking the truth here. He's just saying what we would want to say but he has millions of people to listen to him. This is his third season and he hasn't improved. He throws a ball that looks like it's sailing in slow motion in the air. He gets happy feet back in the pocket and gets sacked. So Boller took offense and jabbed back.
"Does what he (Sharpe) has to say mean to me? It means nothing to me. I know the mistakes I made. Obviously he wants to point it out. It's pretty easy sitting behind a chair and saying this and saying that. It doesn't matter what Shannon Sharpe says. That doesn't mean anything to me."
Yes but Sharpe is making an observation and pointing it out. He's paid to do that for CBS. It just happen he pointed you out. It means that you're terrible. Your teammates know it. The organization knows it. You're playing the rest of the season for your job basically...dude.
So of course Sharpe gets the last line in and albeit a funny line.
But Sharpe shot back during CBS' NFL Today on Sunday, telling Boller to walk down to Brian Billick's and Ozzie Newsome's office and ask whether he should listen to what he says.Sharpe again stood by his comments, but joked at Boller's insistence that he had his team's support."You're right, you do have teammates behind you," Sharpe said. "The fullback and running back."
