It's Good To Be Hasselhoff

I'll tell you who must be loving life these days. It's Mr. Baywatch himself David Hasselhoff.

Career takes a sharp turn down since the day Baywatch was taken off the air. He had bit roles in "Dodgeball" and a Spongebob movie which I never saw. His career wasn't even hot enough to take a role on VH1's dysfunctional "Surreal Life" house.

Fast forward to the summer of 2006. We see him shedding a tear when Taylor Hicks was crowned the new American Idol. It was a sign he's alive!

Then Dirk Nowitzski credits David's "Looking For Freedom" with relaxing and focusing at the free throw line. I've never heard the song but I hear it was a huge hit in Germany. Dirk and Dallas are up 2-0 in the NBA finals. Put David on the Christmas card list.

Next the World Cup is being held in Germany. Again, it's hard to believe David was a huge star in Germany but it's true. So somewhere in a pub German fans are requesting his songs on the jukebox when they want to celebrate. He's in German music history by being named "Artist of the Year" in his prime.

He's going to be a judge on yet another talent show called "America's Got Talent". Another judge is Brandy. If singer and televison actress Brandy is also a judge on the show, run far far away from it. If they had to get her to be a judge then the other 100 people on their list must have passed.

Finally he's starring in "Click" with Adam Sandler. Surely you've seen the funny commercial where he gets paused and Sandler beats the crap out of him.

It's always true when they say what was old, goes out of style, and always comes back.
