Dick Cheney Thankfully Didn't Shoot

The quickest draw in Washington D.C., threw the first pitch at the Nationals' home opener yesterday. He then pulled out a 28 gauge shotgun to try to shoot it in the air and accidentally shot Pedro Martinez in the right hand to the delight of Washington National fans.

If so, his approval rating would sky rocket faster than his blood pressure.

Instead Dick Cheney was greeted with loud boos and some cheers. They said he probably wore a bullet proof jacket underneath his Nationals jacket cause he looked bulky. Doubt he's been hitting the Soloflex.

I wonder why the boos. Maybe it's because last year, the Nationals' first season, they had President Bush throw out the first pitch. Now they're getting the second-in-line to the presidency. Next year they might just get one of the Bush twins instead. It could be there were many more Democrats in the crowd than Republican. Maybe cause it's close to the tax deadline and they wanted to boo someone.

Maybe it's just because not too long ago he shot his friend while bird hunting. Shooting friends is not cool. Shooting one with a bright orange vest is ridiculous. Waiting days to report it seems suspicious. It's all good reasons to boo loudly.
