Browns Should Trade Their First Round Pick

by Browns Fan - Rob

Seems like at number 6 this year, the best option for the Browns is to trade this pick for additional later picks.

Yes they would get a top prospect if they kept this year's pick, but Cleveland has so many needs on the D-Line that they need bodies not 1 player.

Cleveland's Needs
by: Eric Caldwell

I agree that Cleveland's greatest needs are on the defensive side of the ball. Trading down would be a great option too because they could get a guy like Robert Quinn or J.J. Watt after 10 and its been rumored that Houston is looking to move up to get a corner. That way they could stockpile a few more picks. The thing is Mike Holmgren loves his receivers and a guy like A.J. Green only comes around every 5 years or so. So if they're in position to make that pick and get that playmaker for their young QB, I don't think they'll pass on it.

Also, chances are at least one of the following guys - Cameron Jordan, Akeem Ayers, Ryan Kerrigan, Muhammad Wilkerson, Stephen Paea, Marvin Austin - will be available when the Browns pick again at 37, so they're still going to have an opportunity to get an opening day starter along the defensive front if they pass on one in the 1st round.

Browns trade w/Atlanta puts this as a potential best draft, since returning to C-Town.
