Ben Roethlisberger Finally Shaves

(see the video)

The MVP of the Super Bowl goes to Disney World. So where would the winning quarterback with the lowest rated quarterback rating (22.6) go? Of course to "The Late Show" with David Letterman to shave off his beard.

He revealed that he never liked the beard. He grew it only when they started to win. The worst part he said was the two week break between the AFC championship and the Super Bowl. That meant he had to keep the beard for two more weeks.

Also to rub salt in the wound of Seattle players and fans, he admits that his rushing TD didn't really get in. He told Cowher that he didn't think he quite made it. However they were going for it on 4th down anyway.

Then he "acts" surprise that Letterman has clippers to cut his hair. He gets a lucky fan from the crowd to help clip one side. Then they cut to commercial and finish up shaving him backstage so they can bring Harrison Ford out. With that much hair, it sure would take a long time.

The shaving stunt reeked of money making opportunity. In no surprise Ben got paid for shaving his beard. He agreed to use the new Gillete Fusion razor to shave his beard. If you vaguely remember the commercial during the Super Bowl it's because it finished dead last in the USA Today Ad meter rating. No word on how much he was paid however.

Check out Deadspin for more pictures of the shaving.
