The most successful Super Bowl teams.

So, above we can see that there are quite a fair deal of the 32 teams in the NFL who have won the Super Bowl, however, the AFC dominate the top with the two teams who have won the most Super Bowls.

Both of these teams have won 6 Super Bowls each as of 2021. Let’s take a quick look at these two legendary teams who keep slaying the competition and winning the Super Bowl.

The New England Patriots.

The New England Patriots have quite the reputation. They are regarded as being the greatest NFL team in Super Bowl history. They have dominated the Super Bowl since 2001, with 6 Super Bowl titles in 2002, 2004, 2005, 2015, 2017, and 2019. One of the most fascinating things about the Patriots is that they are also one of the few teams to win two successive Super Bowls, with their two Super Bowl wins in 2004 and 2005.

However, another interesting fact about the Patriots is that all of their wins were also during Brady’s era. Tom Brady joined the New England Patriots in 2000, and he was there for every single one of their Super Bowl wins. In fact, his final year with the Patriots was 2019, when they had their last Super Bowl win. Coincidence? We think not. What is fascinating about this is that Brady switched over to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, and the Buccaneers won their second Super Bowl at the 2021 Superbowl with Brady leading the charge.

The Patriots are definitely one of the two most successful Super Bowl teams, but we think it's possible that Brady has a part to play in this.

They are also one of the only two teams to represent multiple states in the NFL. They also have 22 division championships, and appeared in 27 playoffs, in fact, they appeared in every playoff from 2009 until 2019.

The Pittsburgh Steelers.

The other team to have 6 Super Bowl wins is the Pittsburgh Steelers, yet another AFC team. They have a great Super Bowl history, unlike the Patriots, not all their Super Bowl wins were in the space of two decades. They have 6 Championships in 1974, 1975, 1978, 1979, 2005, and 2008. Again, they are another of the few teams who have had two successive Super Bowl wins, with their wins in 1974 and 1975. They also have 24 division championships and 32 playoff appearances.

The Steelers have not had much luck of late, as their most recent championship appearance was for the Super Bowl XLV in 2011. Perhaps, they will score another win soon though.
